What I like about Ann Coulter

I would guess Ann Coulter is only a few years older than you and your friend the "Chief" (aka "Tony" of "Queen City Musings.") You both obviously consider yourselves quite intelligent and use rather brash verbiage to describe your total dislike of Ms. Coulter. So tell us all... what have either of you accomplished so far in your lives that resembles anything she has accomplished? Hmm?

Ann Hart Coulter (born December 8, 1961) is an American political commentator, syndicated columnist and best-selling author. She frequently appears on television, radio and as a speaker at public and private events. Known for her controversial and confrontational style, Coulter has described herself as a polemicist who likes to "stir up the pot" and, unlike broadcasters, does not "pretend to be impartial or balanced."

As an undergraduate at Cornell University, Coulter helped found The Cornell Review and was a member of the Delta Gamma national women's fraternity. She graduated cum laude from Cornell in 1984, and received her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. At Michigan, Coulter founded a local chapter of the Federalist Society and was trained at the National Journalism Center.

Coulter owns both a condominium in Manhattan and a house in Palm Beach, Florida. Ann Coulter is the author of six books, all of which have appeared on New York Times Best Seller list.

I often wonder when I read some of the comments from both of you, do you talk to people face to face as you do from the safety of your keyboards? I do not think so.

Delete the first Anon comment. I should not have submitted it. You have your opinion as I do. We do enjoy and collect Classic Rock Music. We also, at times, agree politically and we like cats. I will swear off of both your and your friends blogs. I do not need the hassle I will receive if I submit a comment which differs from your posts or your friends posts.
Maybe I should start my own blog. I do believe however that if Obama is elected we will be on the road to a socialist America.

p.s. I know you have cats and recently lost one of them. I also saw the sketch you did of your new kitten. I lost my boy of 19 years two weeks ago. I still look for him when I come home. I recently completed both a Classic Rock Music website and a website for my friend who I had to have put to rest. I do not think I will send it to anyone. I wanted to do it for him.

Knowing who you are, I'd like to just take a moment and say, it's ok.

Understand one thing first: I am not "The Chief" although "Lord Elgarf" and I both know him and do respect him, I decided long ago to leave the blogging behind.

With that having been said, perhaps you now know a little of what it's like to make a mistake and post something online that you later regret. I made that mistake and I regret it. You should simply know that I hold no animosity towards you or anyone else.

Furthermore, it seems, based on your second comment, that you and Elgarf have some things in common. I hope you have had a chance to check out his site periodically as he really does have some incredible talent!

...as for the cats... well... I guess I can't share EVERY common interest with you guys. And I'm sorry to hear about your friend... whether you share it with anyone or not... the feeling is the same - it's therapeutic to do something like that for them.

Good Luck to you, "anonymous" I know you're a smart person - just keep in mind that even though there were problems - I can say I'm past them and you needn't worry about anything similar occuring. If you ever want to keep in touch... I believe you still have my email.

And honestly, I really am not "The Chief" - but like I said... Elgarf and I both know him and he's a pretty good guy. He's not like our other friend, Father O'Malley - Father O'Malley is just out and out nuts!

No, seriously... the guy is borderline!

You're right. When I speak to people face to face I am actually VERY polite. I went through 13 years of catholic school and definitely know my place. In fact, most people will tell you that it takes a lot to get me angry and to use the language I use on this site. I guess I use this anonymous forum as a way to vent so I don't have to take the anger out on anyone in person.

I must say, though, that from your initial comments I would have thought I was addressing the lovely Ms. Coulter herself. You have certainly done your homework on her, where I have not. However, I must stick to my guns. I think she lacks credibility and I think the way she uses sex to sell herself is hypocritical. I'm not sure why this offends you. I didn't call her any names. In fact I pointed out what I DO like about her, granted the likes are carnal in nature but is it my fault she affects me that way? You may have noticed that I am not even the one who brought her up. Someone else did and I just responded. I actually come from a VERY Democratic family and am the first in 3 generations NOT to hold public office. I always followed party lines out of respect for the family, but lately am finding that I can no longer do that.

At any rate I am actually quite honored that you would take the time to look at my ramblings (whether you agree with them or not). I thought I was the only one who kept up with them. Sometimes I can't even get my friends to check the site out. So, you don't have to worry about my attacking you or giving you a hard time for disagreeing with me. I really do like a good argument.

Stop back any time.

Oh, by the way, I am truly sorry for your loss. It has been 6 months for me and the nonstop antics of the kitten make me miss my old pal even more.

Wow! Lots of stuff going on over here, Elgarf!

Out of everything that was said on here... I must state quite clearly a few things:

First: Elgarf, do not sell yourself short - you're a tremendous shit that never fails to call me a dumb-ass to my face as much as online. Perhaps this is simply a pleasure you reserve for me?

Second, I understand the cat is not exactly helping you move on - could we ask for some posts on this or no?

Third, Anonymous, I'd like to see more discourse - on both sites! We as taxpayers and voters do not get to vote our real conscience unless we have reasoned and rationed things out - what a great "FORUM" (Huh... see what I did there!!! ;-) - ok - so - I'm not that funny) anyway - we really do have a great tool for communicating here and for ensuring all views are represented. The ONLY thing I ask on my site is that we can pontificate all we want - all of us - but let's all respect each individual and when we do cast those ballots in November, that we do so confidently.

Elgarf, another point to you - are you going to let Tony make the claims about Crazy Father O'Malley that he did? He might be a little eccentric or off - but Father O'Malley is great!

Tony, be fair to our beloved comrade, O'Malley. Even though his "blog" sucks and isn't really a blog or topical on anything other than a few Philadelphia area weirdos or even been updated in 20 years - the man, the myth and the legend that he is - is pretty cool.

Wow - this is more commenting than anything that has ever been done on the Miscellany!

All you assholes can say what you will about the Most Reverend Fr. O'Malley, but you will not shake my resolve in this matter. It has been a distinct honor and a privelege to call this individual one of my closest friends for the last 15 years of my life (yes, Father O', it is an anniversary of sorts). He is a unique person, a genuine person, and, yes an eccentric person. I can appreciate the "crazy" monikker (or is it just one K?) but will not subscribe to it. There is something to be said about a man who rubs a dry bar of soap between his hands BEFORE turning on the water.

I stand corrected and beg forgiveness.

Is there not also something to be said about a man who shaves at 8am and has a 5 o'clock shadow at noon and a full beard before quitting time?

All kidding aside (and I kid the most reverend Father O'Malley), he is most definitely a unique person and probably the most unique one in my lifetime. He is eccentricly odd, but he wears it so damned well.

As the Right Reverend Father Timothy O'Malley, I am honered to be quoted as "great" by one Chief Rooney. I have stopped blogging for a while, having has some issues I will be back to the BLOG in a Short time. Anyhow, who is TONY? Is he a member of a group of "special" people that hang out in Scranton Pennsylvania? Is he the actor in "THE OFFICE"? Whose TONY?
